The Sigma Homes Group, a leading SME house builder in the south east of England, has made two new appointments to support its growing business.
Matthew Wilson has been appointed to Sigma Homes growing land division as Land Manager with responsibility for expanding the company's area of operation further westwards into Hampshire, West Berkshire and the Solent regions. Matthew has a successful background in development land agency and brings with him a wealth of contacts and considerable experience in identifying and acquiring sites for both immediate and strategic land across the region. Matthew says: "I am delighted to be joining Sigma Homes at this exciting time as they continue to expand their house building operations significantly. I’m really looking forward to making an immediate contribution to the growing pipeline of sites acquired both with and without planning permissions."
Declan Doherty joins as Trainee Land Negotiator. This is Declan’s first job in the industry since graduating from the University of Reading with a Degree in Geography. Declan explains: "I’ve always had a passion for house building and had been seeking a graduate role with a house builder to start my career in the industry. I am really excited to have joined Sigma Homes where I will gain experience working alongside a vastly experienced team and will have exposure to the whole of the process from the initial land identification and acquisition through the planning and design phase to ultimately seeing the site built and the homes sold."
Chris East, Group Land Director for the Sigma Homes Group comments: "I am delighted to welcome both Matthew and Declan to our team. As the business continues to expand rapidly, we have an ongoing requirement to acquire land both with and without planning permissions. Matthew is a valuable addition to our land team and will be leading our expansion westwards. It is always important to support young people looking to start their careers in the industry and Declan will be a great asset to our business. We look forward to supporting his career & professional progression."
