Horsham-based Sigma Homes has been shortlisted for the Developer of the Year category at the Insider Media South East Property Awards. The Awards, now in its third year, covers the South East region, including Surrey, Sussex, Kent, the Thames Valley and the Solent.

Run by Insider Media group, the awards have a total of eight categories judged by industry experts, recognising excellence across the property sector. The event will take place on Thursday 13th July, at Lingfield Park Racecourse, Surrey.

Geoff Potton, Chief Executive of Sigma Homes, said: “This year marks a major milestone for Sigma Homes, as it is our tenth year in business. With a total of five highly sustainable developments currently under construction across Surrey and West Sussex, we understand what our customers are looking for and the enviable lifestyle this region offers. We are pleased to have been shortlisted in the Developer of the Year category, which recognises our work as a housebuilder across the south east.

“The build and quality of our homes has been attracting discerning buyers for a decade, and we are immensely proud of the reputation we have accrued in the housebuilding industry. The awards event will enable us to celebrate the efforts of our whole team, from land and planning, to technical, construction and marketing.”

Sigma Homes currently has a number of live sites under construction as well as in the pipeline, including Ashplats, Mayflower Meadow, Spring Bank, and Merrywood. Ashplats is located in East Grinstead and is an energy-efficient development featuring 30 newly built family houses. Mayflower Meadow is a £16m scheme comprising 40 luxury semi-detached and detached homes in Angmering, Sussex, which will all achieve the highest EPC A rating. Spring Bank is a £10m development of 20 eco-focused homes on the edge of Haywards Heath in West Sussex. Merrywood is a luxury £18m scheme in Thames Ditton - one of the most desirable neighbourhoods in Surrey, consisting of 26 apartments and houses.

All future Sigma Homes developments will deliver a 10% biodiversity net gain score, well in advance of the mandatory requirement coming into place. In 2022, the company worked alongside DEFRA on a national event to highlight the environmental changes that will be required by all housebuilders.

All of Sigma Homes’ sites are designed to optimise biodiversity, climate adaption, customer lifestyle requirements, and economic aspects. The choice of materials and material sources are selected to reduce the environmental footprint of construction.

Sigma Homes specialises in using the sustainable construction method of timber framing. The SME housebuilder has a 10-year track record in delivering thoughtfully designed residences which fuse local architectural vernacular with contemporary design and eco specification features. The company currently has five live developments in premium locations across the south of England and is on track to deliver 200 homes per annum by 2025. It has recently become one of the first SMEs to be accepted onto the New Homes Quality Board, providing buyers with further peace of mind during the buying process, through the backing of this stringent new Code.

Sigma Homes’ staff have equal opportunities and are supported in skills development and personal growth. The company promotes diversity, inclusion, equality, and opportunities for young people.
